While bike touring is a relatively inexpensive pastime, is isn’t free nor is it easy to do while working. Contributions here go towards meals, bike repairs, campsite fees, gear purchases, and other incidental costs.

Bike and Build sunsetted in 2023 and was folded into The Field Academy, TFA provides programs that connect, engage, empower, and educate young people from across the United States in order to inspire enduring learning and create a just and healthy nation.
Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE)
Streets Are For Everyone is a Los Angeles based non-profit that aims to improve the quality of life for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers alike by reducing traffic fatalities to zero. SAFE addresses the problem in a holistic fashion through direct education, broad awareness campaigns, partnerships, community outreach, policy and legislation, support for those impacted, and other proven strategies. I currently serve as the SAFE Families Co-Chair.
Portland Families For Safe Streets
Portland Families for Safe Streets advocates for life-saving changes throughout our transportation system that will prevent crashes. They also provide support services to survivors of collisions and families member who have lost loved ones to traffic violence. Families for Safe Streets is national organization with chapters all across the country. The Portland chapter was founded in 2015.
